About him
As well as the usual interests such as wining and dining I enjoy a night at the opera as much as a cosy night in - after all, it's not so much what I do, but with whom I do it that really counts.
Even the drabness of a rail station waiting room, for instance, may assume magical ambience if the company is right.
Although possessed of a ready wit and humour when occasion demands, I'm a warm and tactile person, patient and even-tempered with a romantic disposition.
Being Aries (not that I really believe in astrology) I used to be headstrong and impulsive, but that has tempered with age. Also, because I'm older, I'm running out of things to learn the hard way, but that's my opinion.
I'm very fond of animals and have worked long hours as a volunteer for Wildlife Aid and a Badger Group in Surrey. And I love the countryside and coast in general. Always on the lookout, too, for those special places in town or country that on summer evenings seem to lift one a finger's breadth from heaven.
I should add, perhaps, that very much I enjoy off-road cycling in the countryside (which keeps me relatively fit and slim) and star-gazing on those rare summer nights when all is clear and serene.
