Since my daughters flew the nest, for various reasons (villa, gardens, dogs etc.), I've found myself becoming something of a recluse living a fairly solitary life albeit in a fabulous location in Spain. I'm good company, kind, witty, attractive, well travelled, international, intelligent and many more superlatives that you might find attractive in men including being a good cook........ People generally like me and tell me that I am a truly nice guy with a ready and easy smile going to waste. That's why I'm here! I don’t take myself too seriously. I value honesty and kindness in people and avoid bigots and people with extreme opinions. Things that I couldn't live without? Books, sunshine, conversation, family, good food, wine, travel and music.

Someone normal, witty, interesting and attractive, without neuroses or extreme opinions, who would enjoy great dinners overlooking the pool. Obviously you must speak English and/or Spanish and either live in Spain or enjoy travelling. I've a problem travelling myself with many commitments here (villa, garden, dogs large groups of holiday tenants etc.) and, without being rude, am not looking for a penpal. I tried internet dating, at my daughter's instigation, some time ago and, along with an incredible amount of scammers, have met some really lovely people but they all live a very long way from Valencia.
I've got some good Spanish friends but now crave conversation in my own language and within my own culture.
