I'm a open, honest, compassionate, caring person with a sense of fun who probably needs to spend a tad less time doing sporty fit things and more time with you.
Quite a simple soul; averagely complicated at times - aren't we all? Background in management and finance, I have run my own business for the past twenty years so plenty of energy and very positive; always with an opinion, though not opinionated. Definitely pot half full. I see the funny side of most things and can laugh at myself, which is just as well as I frequently need to.
Love the country; walking, cycling or a beach. But also like to immerse in a bit of culture - music, art, history, heritage. Overdue a holiday with a true friend. Always willing to share new experiences; hope never to become a closed book. Simple pleasures, on the whole, shared with an honest and open hearted companion, is where I want to go.

I'm looking for my best friend. Someone with a sense of fun, who can think, and yet doesn't take herself too seriously and willing, potentially, to build to a serious relationship.
Someone with whom I can share life's pleasures and experiences. And the lows - life happens! Sporting person definitely not essential, but i need some space for some of that for me. much as I expect you will need space too for something important in your life just now. Music (don't play) in most forms is important to me so a shared interest there would be good. I read a fair bit - there is so much I don't know. Someone who also read a bit and did know the answers to some of life's mysteries would be great. If you had next weeks lottery numbers, well what are we waiting for! Someone who can stimulate my brain and doesn't object to being prodded by mine occasionally.
A closest friend with whom, together, we can each broaden our experiences by learning from the other.
You will need an open mind and a mild tolerance to my routine stream of consciousnesses and occasionally irreverent banter (I call it witty, but I'm never too sure if I'm laughed with or at!). But I can be told to shut up. On the other hand. I would be easy and delighted if the banter were returned. I don't take myself too seriously these days. And, as I say its the simple things shared - walking, talking, not doing either but just watching a sunset or the moon across the sea. Or quietly people watching. Unspoken empathy.
I don't need to escape from anything. I'm happy and comfortable. But there are so many things where the power of two lifts us to that other place. And that's the friend I'm missing.
Oh, and you have to like my big hairy dog. But then he's truly lovely, so that's the easy bit.
