According to my sister I’m warm hearted, fun to be with, gentle, affectionate and good natured. But I can possibly be a little feisty too!
There are things I care passionately about - such as our beautiful planet. I would definitely like to help make the world a better place in whatever small way I can - but life has a tendency to get in the way…
I can be lively and I especially enjoy philosophical humour and general silliness. Being the youngest in the family I feel quite at home with a bit of good natured teasing too.
I’m old fashioned in some ways and modern in others. In some situations shy - but in others almost the opposite. I’m friendly and chatty - and when younger could occasionally be found having conversations that lasted half the night, with friends or cousins.
I have a wide variety of interests and especially love the natural world - mountains, lakes, animals and wildlife. I like gardens too, and I love trees.
I like walking and was enjoying gradually getting a bit fitter all the time. (I used to think yoga was boring but now I think it’s a nice way to start the day - even if breakfast is more appealing!)
I love music and was at one time going to train to sing professionally. I’d like to start dancing again but at the moment I’m recovering from an injury. I’d like to do some acting as well. (Shortly before Covid, I auditioned for a part in a Shakespeare play - a comic role..!)
I like science! Currently, I’m enjoying psychology podcasts. I also listen to Radio 3, Radio 4 and Classic FM.
For years I didn’t watch television. At the moment however I do enjoy drama, sitcoms, comedy drama especially, and any program I can learn something useful from.
When I was younger I threw away opportunities of getting married because my mum never approved of the men in question. I didn’t realise at the time that that was the problem! Now I’ve got a lot more self awareness (!) and don’t care what anyone else thinks - especially my mum!!

Probably the more we have in common the more it’ll help. Then again, being well matched in terms of our personalities might be the most important thing of all.
I may just want to be friends at first - because I like to take things slowly - but since friendship is the most important part of a relationship (in my eyes) it might be the best way of setting a firm foundation anyway.
