About him
I was born in central Europe, my family lived in a number of countries before I moved to London, I worked and lived there for many years. I now live in Ashley Cross, in Poole, which I find ideal.
Architecture/design is important to me, because it is my profession. Music is also important, my tastes are catholic, but I listen mostly to jazz, classical and opera.
I hope I would be described as generous, well informed and having a sense of humour ( which is not always appreciated by my children ).
I dislike celebrity culture, in all its' forms, condescension and self righteousness.
I use to sail, but gave it up because I sent more time maintaining my boat than sailing it. I'm still lured by the water, swimming is essential, as is walking on the beach and visiting its' cafes.
I am in a position where I am able to work less, or not at all, and send more time pursing other interests, which include, travel in this country and Europe ( possibly buying a seasonal bolt hole in Europe ), this would only be done by avoiding planes and airports and with a companion.
About his ideal match
She should be stylish and care about her appearance but not be obsessed with it. I would hope that she expects and appreciates the value of courtesy and manners, be well informed, pragmatic and avoid the left/right tribalism by judging issues on their merits.
It's important that she is tactile and has a sense of humour, it would be a bonus if we had shared interests, but if not, perhaps we could find the patience and understanding to learn from each other.
