About him
I'm a very contented introvert but do enjoy shooting the breeze with interesting people. I do try to be interesting myself and am helped by keeping up with politics and current affairs. I have a very dry sense of humour, and rank "Have I got news for you?" as one of my favourite tv programmes. I love the humour in Father Ted and Blackadder. I read widely: Time magazine, historical and other novels, autobiographies. I'm a big fan of CS Lewis and have just discovered Patrick Kavanagh, a very insightful Irish poet, sadly no longer with us. I also enjoy quiz shows, and a evening in with an Indian meal and a good film scores top marks. I'm an armchair sports fan - my first love is rugby (Ulster and Ireland)closely followed by soccer: I'm a devoted Spurs fan.
My glass is always more than half full - I'm an eternal optimist! - so I have a sunny, easy-going disposition.
