As I've lived in many different countries I am used to adapt, be flexible and take each day as it comes making the most of life.
I am honest, calm, adventurous, sincere, tolerant, optimistic, at times funny, realistic and loyal. Also looking forward to a more settled life with someone special.
I miss the laughter, hugs, intimacy and fun of being part of a couple and sharing life's joys and challenges.
These are a few of my favourite things: travel in the UK and abroad, classical music, a midnight swim by candlelight in Provence, jazz, Radio 4, theatre, walking, reading, Blackwell's bookshop, views from the rooftop of the Sheldonian, cooking and sharing a meal with friends and family, gardening, cycling home late at night through the city, swimming, the sea, opera in Verona, (world) cinema, good food and wine, warm summer evenings, cycling, poetry, log fires, Oxford, Amsterdam, a beach walk in my home country, France, Provence, La Colombe d'Or and terrace in St Paul de Vence, Italy, Florence, Venice in spring or autumn, coffee shop culture, dressing smartly and looking glamorous for the occasion, crisp white sheets, architecture, the Ashmolean, fields of lavender, walking in the rain, interior design, happy people, children, chocolates, the night sky, the silence of falling snow, continental markets, Paris, Nice, Maastricht.

My ideal match would be someone who is my best friend, partner and lover: honest, loyal, interesting with a generally positive and tolerant attitude towards other cultures, life, people and humanity.
