About her
I enjoy life, am well travelled and pretty light hearted, enjoying the comical side of happenings, often at my own expense. I would like someone to share the laughter. I am usually tolerant of others' opinions. Lively conversation, theatre, cinema, sport, literature, music are important to me as are my beloved dogs. I keep in shape, and am very active.
I had a long happy marriage during which I loved to travel and would like initially, a companion to share the pleasure of discovering new places and experiences.
I get on well with a wide range of people and have many friends. .My professional life is stimulating and I continue to work at home but on much reduced hours.
I have had dogs most of my life, collies when I was growing up on a Scottish farm. The dogs in the photograph are mother and daughter aged five and three, Georgie and Clemmie. My oldest granddaughter persuaded me to mate Georgie who had 7 puppies. I had to deliver the first which was stuck. Watching them develop was utterly fascinating, but never again.The early weeks almost finished me off as poor Georgie nearly died so I had to feed the puppies, night and day.
How difficult it is to put into words what might hit the right note. I think that it is possible to recognise almost at once if there is no hope for a rewarding relationship and equally that there is some kind of "spark."
I would add that the photographs all but three were taken in the last three years and the remainder since my husband's death six years ago. I neither look, nor feel, my age. After all an I phone camera doesn’t lie too readily.
I have concluded that I would like to meet a younger man as my peers are not always as active as I would like. Toy boys are out, though I have had a few hopefuls.
I should say that I have a deep dislike of Political Correctness, but am interested in Politics.

A well educated man who has had a successful professional career and is pleasant, has a wide range of interests and a sense of humour. A lively mind and a dislike of non-thinking cliches would be a plus. He would need to be warm and passionate. It would be good to discover new interests through the friendship and possibly develop a deeper relationship. What would make the relationship work would be a considerate attitude and a good capacity for enjoyment of life in the widest sense. Arrogance, condescension or complacency would put me off. Someone who is dependent on rules would not be of interest.
Appearance matters to me but not conventional "heart throb movie star" looks.
I would like to meet a man who does not take this process as an opportunity to behave discourteously.
