About him
So who am I? A kind, caring, considerate guy- intelligent (friends tell me)- active in many fields. Still teaching some mornings- work closely with pupils suspended from school- very rewarding.
Have two wonderful 'kids' in their mid 30s, whom I visit when I can; 2 lovely grandkids. In leisure time, I enjoy singing with BeVox- mixed choir- even performing solos- 'I won't send roses- - well I certainly would(!) for you- at City Hall- a great thrill.
I love ballet/contemporary dance- travel to see my favourite companies. Would be lovely to find a lady with this compatible interest - try it out if you have not been 'wowed' by this incredible performing art.
Talking of which- Art- happily visit galleries to experience paintings of the masters- old and recent. Would choose to be walking, in pleasant company, warmed by the sun, through the Tuilerie Gardens via The Louvre- across to Musée d'Orsay. I love sculpture- fantastic curves- the statues, not me! At Musée Rodin standing by 'The Thinker' while the sun's rays shimmer off the golden dome of Les Invalides. Yes, I am a romantic at heart- moved by beauty.
I loved visiting the South of France, and Italy- European capitals. There are many beautiful parts of this country to enjoy- Northumberland (cold!) coast- the local Peak District- probably anywhere with the right companion- could be you?! Ancestors come from the Woodstock (Oxford) area so I try to return for strolls round the beautiful Blenheim Palace gardens.
I am a sort of eco-warrior; I take threats to our environment seriously and started the local (and national- involving local MPs) fight against fracking, getting well informed- organising and Chairing a number of public meetings with outside speakers to relay the dangerous facts from their direct experience and expertise. If there is an environmental cause worth exposing and fighting for/ against, you will find me very much leading the way- trying to inform the community and galvanising support.

Lots of chatting (with eye contact) over a drink or meal in a nice pub or restaurant; then on a later date perhaps a visit to a stately home, an art gallery- to the theatre for a performance of Ballet, Contemporary Dance or a musical- or play- the next meeting.
