My outlook on life is quite adventurous I think - I like travelling, a bit of lying on a beach, but more exploring places and beautiful cities. I love the old buildings of European cities, Venice and other Italian towns. I speak French and have spent a lot of time in France over the years. It's as if these places burrow into the soul ..
For relaxation I would read, mostly. Walk, garden, watch films, theatre or dance, visit friends and beautiful places in the countryside. But the best thing is the heart of our far-flung family, still beating after all these years, despite divorces and distance.
I don't know how friends would describe me! If they're friends, I have put up with me thus far, something must be working out OK.

My ideal match:
Fun, jokey, clever, fairly flexible, can fix a plug and maybe a bit of a car (not essential). Isn't too untidy (joke - I can be a bit untidy myself), likes the films and TV that I like, within reason. Am quite happy to look at something out of my usual zone though.
Compatability and tolerance are the keystones, perhaps.
I'd like to share lots of things - breakfast, drives to new places, bits and pieces of quirky information, probably not too much politics.
