Ok, my legs aren't that long - but I do play the guitar and I am looking for a soulmate!
Writing these things is really hard (this is my first) - I really believe that the nicest people in life find it difficult to sing their own praises.
I believe in honesty and truth - I'm not about to big myself up and I don't appreciate people who do.
I love to sing and I love to see, to watch, to notice. I love to be still and I love silence. I like to make things. I like to walk. I adore music . I really like to laugh. I don't take myself too seriously and I like to smile (to myself and to others). I have a lot of love to give. I'm a whistler (is that a good thing?)
I have a connection with the earth - the land, trees. Not in a weird spiritual way - it's just that I feel most at home when laid in the grass in the corner of a field, or when swimming in the river. I can do cities but I love to come home to myself away from city strife (Don Mclean wrote that).
I love my woodburner. No, really! I love everything about it - chopping the logs, stacking them away, lighting the burner and snuggling up in front of it.
I don't really watch TV and, although I enjoy a good film, I'd probably just as soon pick up my guitar or go for a walk.
I'm not an alpha male - I am not in the least bit competitive. I'll go to great lengths to avoid conflict or confrontation. I hate violence in films - why would anyone watch that stuff?
I like children - I admire their honesty. I haven't forgotten what it's like to be a child - some people do and that's a shame.
Really, I like the simple things in life. A brisk walk on a crisp autumn morning, hot tea and cake, mountains, buttered toast, clean sheets, a good belly laugh with friends, snuggling down in front of the fire, trees.
I think I'm probably a hopeless romantic.
About his ideal match
This is hard. My ideal match would be someone who would love me and be loved by me. If she would sing or play the fiddle/banjo/mandolin, that would be excellent (I jest!). She'd probably have quite a strong sense of right and wrong - a sound moral compass. She'd be gentle, loving, kind and compassionate. She'd be able to laugh and she'd probably have just a whiff of wickedness. She would love to have fun.
