About him
A recently retired academic and widower, I am said by some of my (ex-)students to be amusing and attractive, fun and fascinating, interested and interesting, so it is sad I'm too old for them!
I enjoy quiet evenings in as much as going out for meals, films, classical music concerts, theatre, etcetera, and exploring Scotland as much as going on world travels.
About his ideal match
After nearly half a century with the same woman (we met in our teens), I know it will not be easy to find a happy relationship with someone else, but I'd like to try. If there is anyone out there for me, she will probably be kind and caring as well as positive in outlook and fun. A fellow walker and/or cyclist (though I do drive and use public transport!) could be nice; likewise someone who likes reading, classical music, and culture generally. I travel a lot, especially on cruises, and it would be good to find someone to travel with me, at least some of the time.
But I don't want to be prescriptive, preferring to be open to new experience, so don't let me put you off by my suggestions.
