About him
Writing this is like writing a CV in that there is only so much you can convey about a person on a sheet of paper (or on screen!). I'm an Aquarian (sun sign) and Scorpio (moon sign) if that gives you any guidance, and have been told by a couple of amateur astrologers that I fit the mold pretty well. Don't believe in astrology? Not sure I do to be honest, but reading some of it is enlightening & sometimes frighteningly familiar.
So I'm also recently looking for a new house & I find amusing some of the unnecessary and floral language that estate agents use as if it will sell a house regardless of its condition. Do they attend a special college from which they graduate with a degree in embellishment? Today's favourite was "these dwellings form an inspired collection..". Then I looked at the pictures. Inspired? By what? Pure profit I can only imagine... Humour and comedy? Observational humour from the likes of Jack Dee is good. Michael Macintye, however, quite a bit less so.
I'm an IT and project management professional, and lead a team. I like to keep fit and eat fairly healthily, although I can and do appreciate a good burger and chips and spicy curry from time to time. I do Pilates for flexibility and strength, BMF in the summer, track meets and plenty of running, both and with a friend. I run half marathons at least once a year, and I'm doing my first marathon - the London - this year in April. I do take a pride in my appearance, but feel most comfortable in a pair of shorts and T-shirt in the summer, jeans and a T or polo much of the rest of the time. I often feel warm, and don't feel the cold readily. It fascinates me how some people are 'cold' most of the time, and some are 'hot'. (I'm talking temperature here..)
I've done a little travelling, I speak English and German and have lived in the US and Germany. Generally I make something of an effort to not just speak slow-n-loud English when abroad. I love holidays but not necessary the modern hassle related to getting there & back.

Alright, so that's enough waffle. Almost. Let me leave you with these questions before I tell you what I'm looking for.
Why is it that you get an itchy nose only when your hands are holding four shopping bags, or up to your forearms in washing up?
Why is it that sometimes guilt or prohibition makes something seem more pleasurable?
Why is it that music you haven't heard in ages can suddenly transport you back in time or create a surge of feelings you had long since forgotten?
If you've ever pondered such or similar things, or have a view on any of it, get in touch.
If you think such semi-philosophical or spurious thoughts, and you're a similar age (give or take 6 years-ish), single, attractive, kind and decent, like the outdoors and doing things and exploring new and old places, like a glass or two of wine or beer at home with friends or at the pub, can have a laugh - even at yourself sometimes - but also be serious when the occasion requires, intelligent, not petulant nor a drama queen nor diva, nor covered in tattoos, and are happy to be both with a significant other and happy being in your own company at times (...pause for breath and dramatic effect) definitely get in touch, please!
Here's another question: where in the world do you feel most alive? For me it would have to be at the top of a mountain! Standing there, seeing the world stretch away all around you, the wonder of nature's beauty, feeling the sun on your skin, the cool crisp air in your lungs, the blue sky above and snow-covered peaks in the distance. Then treating myself to a delicious and well-earned hearty meal washed down with a beer or glass of wine.
It's worth bearing in mind I have a child - an 8 year old son whom I love dearly and all that goes with it, who will live with me about half the time. I don't see this as a barrier or problem, but in the interest of full honesty, there it is. I expect you to understand the responsibility and commitment this entails and you probably have a similar expectation of me.
