About him
I recently heard that "happiness is like an orgasm, if you think about it too much, it goes away. Aim make someone else happy and you might get some as a side effect." The last sentence struck a chord with me. To keep things in perspective, I am always mindful of a quote by Albert Einstein: "not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that's counted truly counts".
I have a kind heart and it's firmly in the right place. I am a caring, affectionate, and compassionate person who believes in touching people's lives. I was recently compared to a honey bee, someone who works hard solely for the benefit of others!
I am intelligent, highly educated, cultured, talented, well travelled, and very tactile. I do everything with a passion but I am still easy to get on with. I believe anything in life is achievable if you put your mind and enough effort into it.
A few years ago I took an early retirement from a big multinational company to peruse other interests and enjoy what life has to offer. I have always played the violin and I consider myself an accomplished violinist. I also did ballet in my youth, so a couple of years ago I started learning Argentine Tango to bring the two together. It has become my new found passion and I absolutely love it. Through Tango I have discovered how romantic one can be; embracing a woman in my arms, dancing to a beautiful piece of music that you don't want to end.
I don't think I look too bad either, friends have described me as too good to be on the shelf! Talking about shelves, I'm also a dab hand at DIY but I know you are not looking for a handy man:-). I'm a regular gym user, keeping fit and (jokingly) trying to achieve "Daniel Craig's" body! Please don't get excited, I'm no where near it but I will continue trying.
Finally, I am well mannered and fit easily into any social situations, I am the type you would be comfortable to introduce to your family and friends:-). Come and say hello and decide for yourself. It takes two to tango and I am certainly up for it.
About his ideal match
I'm looking for someone with a 'good' heart, not just a functioning heart. Someone who gives me butterflies. Somesone who makes my heart skip a beat every time I see her. Someone who is honest, caring, ambitious, intelligent and is easy to get on with.
You may know of a Japanese art called 'Kintsugi', it's a process by which broken pottery is repaired using gold leaves or gold dust with the view that the object ends up more beautiful than what it was originally. I am looking for that 'gold' person to complete me.
A good sense of humor is also highly appreciated, you can never have enough laughter in your life.
To me looks are part of the chemistry, so without your photos it will be hard to judge.
