I really don't like blowing my own trumpet but if I must, then I suppose I'm very laid back and extremely down to earth and can be mischievous at times, I'm not sure if I've ever really grown up haha! I'm fairly intelligent, love to read and I do not do soaps, in fact I hardly watch tv at all.
I'm adventurous, spontaneous, loving, romantic, kind hearted, friendly, good mannered and polite - it costs nothing and neither does a smile! I'm also optimistic, always trying to see the good in people, fun loving, love the outdoors especially walking in the lakes and I used to horse ride. Ex Travel Agent so I love to travel, see new places and get out and about when I have the time, I also enjoy the occasional night out, good food and wine. Being 5ft 8 I would prefer someone 6ft or over so I can wear those killer heels once in a while!
I love listening to music and my tastes are extremely eclectic, from classical to rock to dance, even Gregorian chant, but I have to say I'm not really too keen on country music or jazz. I'm also not a fan of makeup and wear as little as I can get away with and feel just at home wearing a dress as I do in jeans and wellies.
I am very honest, too much so at times and very trusting. I've had two long term relationships, the first from the age of 18 to 30 and the second from the age of 31 to 45. I have never had a one night stand and certainly don't intend to start now!
I would really like my next relationship to be long term and the last one ever, I'm getting too old for this dating lark, even though I don't feel my age and am young at heart!

What is an ideal match? It's like asking 'what is normal'! I'd like to meet someone I can have fun with and someone who makes me laugh. I hate arguing and confrontation so ideally someone who is pretty chilled out, someone who can be my best friend, someone whom I miss when we're not together, makes my heart flutter and my mouth dry, someone who loves me for who I am, has my back and above all, someone with whom there is not just a spark, but a whole symphony of fireworks!
