Been single for too long now, and boy am I bored. Live in my own place with my young adult son and teenage dog.
I thrive on intelligent and humourous conversation, quick wit with a hint of sarcasm or double entendre is where I'm at. Don't really do cinema but enjoy a theatre trip now and again, especially if a nice meal out is involved. I like all sorts of music, from current charts to Ella Fitzgerald and everything in between. Read occasionally - favourite author being Colin Bateman. Shaking laughing one minute then gasping in horror the next, just brilliant writing.
Travelled quite a bit and really enjoy discovering new places like European cities on a long weekend break. Also love my old "second home" in Wales too - lovely location and a great beach. I am most relaxed being by the sea, though I'm not one for sitting still on the beach for long. I prefer being out exploring. Did my first cruise just before Covid hit and absolutely loved it, can't wait to do it again.
I hate shopping - yes really! I do love days out in Manchester but that's usually with my girlfriends and it usually involves more wine than is sensible! Great fun, but it's time for me to find a nice chap to spend similar outings with.
I like to socialise and I have a great diverse group of friends, and I recently took up dancing which is great fun and a really enjoyable way of keeping fit and active. I've also joined a Soul choir as I find singing really keeps my spirit alive.
I love my home and my garden which I work hard for. Currently in the middle of a make-over so keeping busy at home as well as at work.
Definitely time for me to find a new distraction! Could that be you?

I'd like to meet someone who is looking for a steadfast companion to start with and a good grounding on which to build a solid, trusting, loving and equal relationship.
I would love someone to want to care for and look after me, but they will need to be persistent. On my own for so long, it's difficult to let someone else take control :)
I'd like to meet a nice pleasant chap who doesn't take himself too seriously. Maybe a coffee in town to start things off would be nice, just to see if anything clicks into place.
