Intelligent rather than intellectual, fit & active rather than athletic, with a lively sense of fun & an appreciation of witty humour. I have a positive view of life, an enquiring mind, like to travel & explore different countries as well as visit places in the UK.
Having lived & worked in the Far East I have been fortunate to have travelled extensively around South East Asia.
In semi-retirement I have explored the Greek islands & further afield visited South America, the Falkland Islands, Amazon & Galapagos - all very different but each an amazing experience.
Equally wonderful is time spent exploring some of the beautiful places we have here in the UK.
Whilst being close to my grown-up sons & their families I am free to enjoy the rest of my life with someone who likes to love & be loved.
Pool swims are a regular feature of my week (sea dips less frequently!) & am fortunate to have the beach close, along with the Sussex Downs for scenic walks (fortunate to live near both).
I enjoy taking part in Amateur dramatics, support local orchestras, music groups & bands, although love to spend time in my home & pottering in the garden.
I'm comfortable in formal situations, like to dress up occasionally, but am equally at home camping & romping in the countryside with the grandchildren.
Lots of friends to visit, things to do & places to go - but would really like to meet someone special to share mutual joy, respect & laughter along with the ups & downs that inevitably come along - with hopefully a few adventures thrown in for good measure!
