About him
I have a wonderful family and friends with whom I socialise regularly. There are times, though, when I want to be with just one special person. Going for a meal, going on holiday, going for a walk - simple things, but much nicer with someone to share the occasion. I really miss being able to say, " Wasn't that a great day?"
I am by nature a positive person and enjoy the company of others. I watch and play sport - watch almost anything; play cricket reasonably and golf (improving!), but I still enjoy them. I love to read and to listen to a wide variety of music, from rock to pop, classical and jazz. My other relaxation is cooking, whether something simple or ambitious, I'lll have a go at preparing almost anything. I love the outdoors - walking on a beach; being by a canal; enjoying what weather we get. I like to travel. I enjoy the Mediterranean and Caribbean but I also love visiting places in the U.K.
I think I have a great sense of humour - maybe a little dry, but probably typically English! Life will sometimes bowl you a few googlies but it's what you make of it. Life is to be enjoyed. (A little help doesn't go amiss, though).

I have listed some characteristics that I like, but it's not definitive. I don't think you truly know who is the right person until you meet them. Then the spark might be lit!
It would definitely help fuel things if that person is reasonably intelligent and able to string a few sentences together; has a good sense of humour and is a little adventurous by nature. A romantic, too. A person who takes pride in her appearance. Someone I can enjoy having a meal with; going to live music or sport events; warm, relaxing holidays and getaways together; as well as the simple things at home or with friends and family. Someone I can sometimes just hold in my arms. I'm sure there is a like-minded person looking for much the same - we just have to meet !
