Hmm, not sure what I am doing here. Have had an interesting and exciting life up 'til now. Married young - not a success - however through hard work had a successful career in London concentrating on that and my son. My great plans to travel the world on retirement did not come to fruition as the grandchildren needed me. I have to say it's the weekends that drag as I am mostly alone. My friends all live a distance away, although we meet whenever we can, it's usually mid-week. I still have all my marbles, enjoy crosswords and pottering around the house and walking the dog. Love Classic FM, Radio Four and BBC Four, but can do without all those advertisements for the over 50's.

So, what I am looking for? Someone who enjoys intelligent conversation, good food and wine and appreciates the Arts. Someone who is often free at week-ends, perhaps for walks, lunches, coffee and cake. A simple life really, no chaos, no complications. Been there, done that.
