About him
My children have grown up and left home. I was widowed 15 years ago and have recently retired from a family business. I volunteer for a number of things but I want to do more with some one else. I live in my own house and have had an excellent life to date which I am not ready to see end. Sorry about the photos, they seem a bit wet but its all I've got till my children take some more. Just so there is no confusion the handsome one is my first grandchild, I'm the ugly git holding him. I like doing the usual stuff but it's better when I'm holding someone's hand. I particularly like visiting places with CADW, English Heritage etc. I try to stay healthy and fit but I'm not fanatical about it. Last year I was Father Christmas at the village chldrens' Christmas party and the childrens' church service and will do it all over again this year, it's a bit of fun.
Joking apart I believe I am sincere and honest. If I can help someone less fortunate than me then I will but I can't stand scroungers and con merchants. I am loyal and caring but have been tested by life in the past. However, I still believe this is a wonderful place and I am very lucky to be able to enjoy so much of it. I just want to share this good luck with the right person.

I like ladies who are feminine i.e. like perfume, dressing up and jewellery but I like casual as well. I am not much of a gardner and would like some help with that side of things but I am good at mowing the lawn regularly.. I like my home and work hard to keep it clean. I think I am a reasonable cook and enjoy that. My ideal partner would have to be romantic and enjoy the simple things in life. Apart from that I think I'm fairly flexible. I always say 'It's not what you've got - it's what you do with it that counts' and I am quite tactile and like holding hands.
