Hello !
Writing these little pen pictures is always difficult but if I was asked to I'd describe myself as a decent and straightforward person, perhaps a little reserved at times but with a good sense of humour. I'd like to meet someone who basically kind, intelligent and who has more to their life than just " pubs and clubs".
My friends and family are important to me and I count myself as privileged to have two nephews and a niece. They are all wonderful in their own special way and I try to see them whenever the time allows. I love the countryside both here and abroad, whether it's a strenuous climb up a mountain or an afternoon's walk in the country to a good pub with good conversation.
Likes, in no particular order, fresh coffee and the Sunday newspapers, dogs, my walking boots and the view from the top of the North Downs, trips to the cinema and meals out, skiing, toast and marmite, Italian food and proper days out in London.
Coming from a musical family music plays a big part in my life. I've got fairly broad tastes and am as content listening to Jools Holland as I am listening to Bach. I also sing tenor with a local choral society. It's a big commitment but is immensely rewarding and I've recently been privileged enough to sing in the Albert Hall as part of our 175th anniversary celebrations. ..
Dislikes - commuting on rainy days, people who don't make the effort to remember others' names and... rhubarb...
