About him
I appear to have prioritised my work (managing a GP Practice) over most things prior to retiring in 2016and am now enjoying having the time to do many other things, perhaps including developing a meaningful relationship with someone. So, a bit about me...
I have lived in Theale for just over 30 years and really enjoy being part of the community and have been involved in various local activities. I have got a lot out of it over the years, so it is only right to be putting something back now that I have the time.
I have a son (and two step sons) and three grandchildren who I now see rather more of than I used to. I would like to think that I'm relatively intelligent, but perhaps that's for others to decide! I can be shy with people I don't know, but outgoing in familiar company and have a generally optimistic outlook on life - I'm definitely a 'glass half full' person. I am a season ticket holder at Reading Football Club, but please don't hold that against me as I am definitely not a football bore - it's all about the socialising as far as I'm concerned! I am also interested in motor sport and cars generally.
I enjoy a glass of wine with my dinner, but would far rather share the bottle. I can't imagine life without music and get enormous pleasure from singing, both choral and the occasional karaoke.............!
What do I do for fun? Singing, singing, and more singing! Pub quizzes. I love theatre/musicals but don't go anywhere near often enough - maybe I need someone to go with! The occasional steam railway visit.
My favourite local hot spots or travel destinations? Dartmouth, Cornwall, anywhere coastal. There's far too much of Great Britain that I haven't yet explored, and I intend to put that right over the next few years! I have also been to the south of France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Iceland, Portugal, Spain and New York in the last few years - I love NY and Barcelona.

I am looking for someone who is warm, values loyalty and who enjoys socialising (pub rather than club!), doesn't smoke and enjoys music, both classical and pop/rock etc. Someone who appreciates a beautiful sunset and the peace of the countryside as well as the buzz of the city.
