About her
I've been happily on my own for some time, but have always had plenty of friends of both sexes. i really enjoy socialising but now feel I would like someone special in my life. I have had a very varied career - working in Military hospitals as an MOD Welfare Officer and also in the police - initially as a police officer but most recently in crime reduction. I love the camaraderie and humour of working in a team, particularly in organisations like the Services. Up until 2 years ago I was working for a Yacht company organising round the world yacht racing - loved the job and the stopovers in places like China and Uruguay. Now I'm working part time with military personnel and veterans - another job I love.
I belong to two choirs (choral) and love going to classical concerts. Also enjoy blues, jazz,- all music really. I'm a fair weather sailor - although I don't expect everyone to enjoy it. I moved to be by the sea a couple of years ago and go sailing when I can. I enjoy dancing, cinema and watching sport - particularly 6 nations and Wimbledon. I've also just started sea swimming - very cold in winter but exhilarating.
I have two adult sons - one a music teacher and the other in the Navy. See them as often as I can, as I do my five siblings - so it's a large family when we all get together.
Since the boys have left home, I've started travelling as much as I can and have been to several different countries over the past few years - particularly when the yachts came into port. I've never been on a cruise - they just don't appeal - but I'm willing to give anything a try.
Would love to meet someone who enjoys similar things and has a similar sense of humour - very important. Will somebody please dance with me - you don't have to but it would be nice.
