I’m not George Clooney, but I am a nice guy!
I live by a code of values that most folk hold dear. Your kids will approve.
Hopefully you live close enough to enable spontaneous events, like evenings at the pub.
I'm retired, but I had a long and varied career, first as an engineer, then a planner, and finally a contract manager. I’ve been on the tools, masterminded the future, negotiated the deal, and handed out the contracts.
My long marriage ended unexpectedly. I’ve lived alone since 2015.
I have two adult children living an hour away. We are close and see/talk often.
I like to travel. Particularly road trips. We should fly less. I love mountains and countryside, and also the buzz of the city where I will wonder at the architecture.
I’m fascinated by history. I’m likely to become engrossed.
Music is My Thing. I listen often. Beethoven, Mahler, and Bruckner. Or Genesis, Bowie, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. These are just a flavour! You’ll find me at Symphony Hall, or down at the pub with a live band. I’ve played in the past, Sax and guitar.
I enjoy motorcycling. I have classic and modern which I've ridden in the UK and Europe. I’m active in a vintage motorcycle club of which I'm currently a director. This has led to friendships across the globe.
I'm practical and pragmatic. I might be in the workshop, building or fixing a bike, or I could be putting up a wall.
As for TV, I’ve got a good one! It’s mainly used for News, a Scandi-noir, or a Blu-Ray.
I’ll eat pretty much anything (hold back on the red meat) so we can go to any restaurant. I’ll enjoy an appropriate drink with it too, any colour, fizzy or still.
I don’t have a dog or cat, it hasn’t fitted my lifestyle up to now, but I’ll be delighted if you have. Fortunately I live in an 'area of outstanding natural beauty' so we can walk in the countryside, or on the nearby hills. The exercise will be good. You won’t see me in lycra. I haven't been in a gym since I left school, but I still fit in 32" waists!

I'm not looking for a wife or a live-in partner, but I'm not closed to the possibility. I realise that you are likely to be as happy in your place as I am in mine. I am looking for a soulmate who will want to enjoy spending time together.

As a firm believer in equality I like my partner to be confident, independent, and have her own opinions. Passionately held views are highly commendable, even if they don't concur with mine! I imagine she will have her own interests and allow me to follow mine.
Politically, I am centre weighted Liberal with sympathies towards Green. We have to save the planet for the benefit of our grand/children! I am a passionate Europhile.
