About him
Now is my time and I would like to share it with a like-minded lady. My maxim is: "you get out what you put in", whether it be diet, exercise, relationships.
I am open-minded and enjoy interacting with people, discovering their stories and learning from them.
Born and raised in the country, I love being outdoors. After all who wants to do housework or shop when the sun is shining? I like to get out on my bike and mostly walk around my local area rather than use the car.
I love travel, foreign languages and cultures and need to experience more.
I also enjoy the usual things: oodles of reading, listening to music, playing keyboards and guitar for my own pleasure, walking in the country. Also lucky to live near the beach, so traipsing barefoot in sand is yummy!
I now prefer not to drink alcohol, but am not averse to the odd glass if the occasion befits. I don't at all mind others imbibing. I'm not a fuddy duddy.
I have finished with mortgages, debt, etc and I'm fortunate to be able to live comfortably, but modestly, in a small flat a few minutes from the sea.
Although I am retired, I am very active, no couch potato and consciously think about sticking to a good, healthy lifestyle, particularly diet and exercise. However, I'm not completely fanatical about these and do have the occasional naughty treat for a bit of variety.
I'm also a volunteer driver for my local community transport charity as this gets me out of bed most days and I meet lots of interesting people as well as doing something worthwhile.
I also deliver library books to people who cannot access public library buildings.
I don't have a TV these days as I don't want to be ruled by TV listings. I much prefer to be selective and watch programmes on iPad catch-up at a time of my choosing. This goes for radio too.
The icing on the cake now would be to meet a lady with whom I could just share stuff - adventures, jollies, hoots, life and........smiles !!l

Fun- and life-loving. Someone who has done all the the necessary things to get through life and who is now wanting to breathe a big sigh of relief, say "I've done all of that living with and for other people and now I just want to be selfish and get on with the good bit with a like-minded guy".
I'd like the lady to be herself with no pretences, airs or graces. Character and personality are more important to me than keeping up with the Jones's. However, if she looked as good in wellies as a ball gown, then that would be a bonus!
Also, someone who does care about her health and likes to keep well and enjoys doing a bit of exercise - not fanatical though.
The owner of a well-travelled suitcase would seal the deal for me!
