About her
Three years ago I moved back to what I call my home town after having lived on the east coast for the last five. I lived here for nearly 20 years and I realised, this is where my roots are. I’m happy to be back and hope some eligible gentlemen might be reading this !
I am a very independent lady of mature years, very happy with my own company, but occasionally I would like to go places and do things that are best enjoyed with someone else.
After a long happy marriage, I am looking for someone, with whom I could experience the comfortable companionship that is lacking in my life. If you are a widower, you will know exactly what I mean. We have friends and family, but not someone who makes life extra special. I miss having someone to go places with, weekends away, dinners in or out, sitting in the garden on a summer’s night or cold brisk walks in the winter. So if you live close enough for us to be able to do these things on an impulse, and if it appeals to you, let me hear from you.
I moved to the East coast to be able to be close to the sea; having lived most of my life in the Midlands, with detours to N Ireland and West Germany, I missed the sea as I grew up on the west coast of Denmark. However, I felt I was stagnating, so I packed my bags and came home, which during the first lockdown was tricky, but I did it single handedly, and a month after moving, during the second lockdown, I project managed a renovation of my new nest.
Please don't take some of the criteria as gospel, some questions are hard to answer given the choices. Of course I am open to new experiences, this follows naturally if you find a soul mate. Enjoying a glass of red used to be one of my pleasures, drinking on my own is not !
P.S. My beloved Whippet has now gone over the rainbow bridge, I’m bereft and if you are a dog owner, you will know how I feel.

My ideal match would be an educated gentleman, who has a wicked sense of humour. You would be happy with your own company, not needy, with lots of things going on in your own life. Your interests would include gardening, books, classical music, walks, conversation, art galleries, all the usual stuff. You would be a practical person, who can turn your hand to anything and know your way round a set of tools. When you fancied a good laugh and pleasant company, you would think of me!
So if you are clean shaven and sound in wind and limb, apart from the usual age related aches and pains, it might just be you, and I’m always happy to receive one liners !
