About him
Reading and making music are my biggest passions, and take up most of my time. They're solitary hobbies, which makes me seem introverted, which is not the case. I'm sociable and enjoy meeting new people and sharing new ideas.
I love cooking, and the more long & complicated the recipe is, the better. I drink most days, mainly sociably, usually Guinness, sometimes whiskey.
I enjoy making music (songs and tunes), and for the first time this year sold some of my work for commercial use. My musical tastes are broad and varied, from Marvin Gaye to Stephen Sondheim; from Duke Ellington to Eryka Badu; and I adore everything Nick Cave does.
I manage a book shop for a living, a job I love and plan to continue to do for the foreseeable future. Despite being out-going and friendly, I'm also a cerebral, neurotic over-thinker. You have been warned.

My ideal match would be a Charlie Mingus fan who listens to Shostakovich's 1st Piano Concerto every week; who reads too much; who cooks too much; who loves practising whatever instrument they play; and someone who, unlike me, can keep a bonsai alive for more than 3 months.
