About her
I am a tall, large lady - a 'stately galleon' rather than a race going yacht - but I am still quite active and as well as both working and volunteering for a national Charity, I am also active in my local Church.
Aside from that, I also make and sell handmade cards and wedding stationery and I have just started doing decorated family trees - researching them first - I started with my own family tree and am back to the 1400s on one twig!
On the downside I have health problems which prevent me from being as active as I once was. I have a pacemaker and arrhythmia, arthritis and asthma. I am going to start on the Bs next year!!
I have family in Australia and visit them quite regularly and would have liked to retire there 'til the Aussie government changed the rules and said that I had to give them $50000 - non returnable!!
I am loyal and honest and I hate to disappoint people. If you send me a message, I will reply and if I send you one, I would expect the same courtesy - not replying says more about you than you realise. I may not be your ideal............... then again, you may not be mine - but respect, courtesy and manners don't cost anything - I am quite a reserved person and it takes a long time to screw up the courage to write, even a simple message - you have no idea how soul destroying it is not to even receive an acknowledgement of your effort - which is why, even if you're not my ideal, I will always reply to a message.
I am hopelessly disorganised in some things and completely organised in others. I collect things - including people. I read avidly and usually have two or three books on the go - thank goodness for Kindle and my music tastes are eclectic though verging on the classical, particularly if it is strong and stirring - Khachaturian, Zimmer, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Elgar mmmmm!!
I love live theatre - having acted many many years ago and I also taught speech and drama. I can see the fun in most things and words fascinate me.

I don't have an 'ideal man' in my mind - never have - maybe that's my problem!
I like strong, capable hands and have a penchant for blonds and red heads - or strawberry blonds and sparkling blue eyes!!
He must have a sense of fun and be able to see the funny side of things as well as the serious.
I'm not keen on tattoos - or piercings - but honesty is very important and so is loyalty.
An interest in history would be good as would lots of other things we could share or appreciate the other doing - this is why I think talking is so much better than this because everyone has more dimensions than written words allow and this can only give a brief basic picture with no nuances or subtlety.
My faith is very important to me and you will see from my description that I am quite active in my local Parish Church and, although not imperative, it would be nice to be able to share that with someone.
I love being totally 'together' with my guy - holding hands - sharing secret glances - completely understanding one another - I don't think you can aim too high in what you need from a life partner.
If he can accept me as I am as I would him, that would be perfect and if he was an F1 nut too........my cup would runneth over.....
