I am kind, funny, straightforward and complicated. Quite shy but sometimes extrovert, like to read, be alone but occasionally love a good night out including one-too-many! I'm quite serious and like a good discussion about politics, though not an argument. I think I'm good company, a good listener but like talking too with the right person or people. I love to travel by train and am very fond of France and Greece. I do listen to Classic FM but only know popular classical music and not by name usually. I like the idea of Classic FM people as I expect them to be gentle, kind and thoughtful. I think I look ok for my age and am told I still look young! I keep trying anyway. I like good food and wine but can't deal with hangovers any more. I like easy-going, intelligent people and think I am that too. I am a home bird, love my house and garden but love to holiday too. I have to be in the mood to go out but if I do I like cinema, pubs, restaurants and time with friends and mooching around bookshops. I am self-employed and still working but mainly from home. I would like to meet a soulmate but failing that a nice companion would be ok.

I would like someone kind, intelligent and funny. I would prefer them to be slim, fit and healthy. I would like them to be optimistic and easy-going with a willingness to enjoy life be it simple or the good life. I would like them to be easy to talk to and a family man. A book-lover would be nice and someone who is successful in life but not too high-powered! I think someone who is considerate and takes the time to get to know me would help to make a new relationship work. I like books, music, festivals, holidays, walking, home, TV, pubs, restaurants - I'm not so keen on going out so much now but like to when I'm in the mood and can still stay up with the best of them when required!
