About her
A home girl, very practical; born a farm girl and always a country girl. I tend to wilt in towns and cities. Love good food and sunshine with occasional fits of giggles. Private/Grammar education. My degree was in Art and Design. I love to paint, but haven't managed to devote enough time to it yet. I am easy-going, low maintenance, and cheap to run, totally unmoved by the trappings of wealth. Prudent and very resourceful, I waste nothing. I will try any task myself, and because I am conscientious, I can usually get a good result, persistence beating resistance. I enjoy classical music, but was weaned on blues and rock and Country, and I continue to play all these depending on my frame of mind. I can't see me having a retirement as such, because I get bored by routine and I keep finding something else that I'd like to learn how to do. Good (wicked?) sense of humour - always a smile; I am cheerful and positive, comfortable in my own company or with friends. Food on my plate, a roof over my head and natural surroundings are enough to keep me happy for the rest of my life. I come with a dog - a Border Collie. I have no interest in what or who is currently exciting everybody on the TV or the internet, I'm no whizz in the kitchen and I hate shopping. I'm not your conventional girl in any way but I am interesting, knowledgeable and endlessly curious.
About her ideal match
A man with integrity. Probably a craftsman who works/has worked with their hands. A very laid-back chap, rooted in the countryside. I need someone who can switch off and relax in his downtime with some creative or constructive interests and someone who can chat on all subjects including thoughts and feelings. Someone who does not feel a need to be dashing off everywhere to tick off experiences achieved, accumulating air miles and depleting the ozone layer, but can be content to find something meaningful to be getting on with close to home. I'm certainly not averse to an annual holiday in Europe; France being my favourite place. I'd like someone who can understand my need for space - to be alone occasionally - and who would hopefully appreciate the same consideration. A dry sense of humour and a good sense of the absurd is absolutely essential. A farmer? A restorer of something? A blacksmith? An artist? At any rate, it would be nice if we could laugh together, out loud and regularly. If you are money or ambition motivated, you are not for me.
