In the last 10 years I’ve renovated an old farmhouse in France & rentals here in the UK, after starting & running an engineering biz for 35 years.
Would now like spend summer in UK & get away to warmer climes in winter. Maybe look at those houses in Italy that you buy cheaply as long as you renovate… but I’d leave the reno to a builder this time round . I love the simply prepared fresh food dishes there.
I also like the idea of road or boat trips in UK & Europe, stopping to go exploring & sampling the local food/wine & meeting the ‘indigenous tribes’.
Something I did with my 2 children a few years back in France … a fabulous experience. Oh & I’d like to go hiking & maybe a pilgrimage but I’m spiritual not religious .
Yes, I have a fun loving relationship with my adult children who are in their late 20’s & see/chat with them on a regular basis .
Best things in life are the simplest .. fun times with my partner, loving, laughing, going out, staying home, chatting, learning, spontaneity, cooking, sports, friends, small gigs, diy, garden projects , health/wellbeing & just recently, visiting my newly acquired Narrowboat in Northamptonshire. A fantastic way to travel, without rushing past nature in all its glory.
