I am almost too embarrassed to print this but, at a recent meeting I was described by others as: calm, caring, considerate, fun, humble, lovely, having integrity, kind, knowledgeable, loyal, sensitive, having an infectious smile, supportive, trustworthy, warm, witty. I feel honored to be thought of like that, but I would be very reluctant to declare it for myself!
I prefer quality rather than quantity.
I'm fortunate that, on meeting me new acquaintances believe me to be a decade or so younger than my birth certificate states.
My interests include my family and friends, the local community, good company, socialising, dining out, motoring, my house and garden, and politics. I spent many years as an elected representative.
I believe we receive and deserve the level of courtesy that we give to others; manners matter. How we treat those we meet, whether old friends or new acquaintances, reflects who we are. We should be prepared to help others.
Optimism and having a positive outlook on life are the keys to our future success.
