My friends say I am very loyal and good company, witty with a good sense of humour and 'what you see is what you get'. I hate hypocrisy, injustice and cruelty of any kind. I dislike small talk - if conversation doesn't flow perhaps I am speaking to the wrong person. I would always prefer to meet someone face to face rather than correspond in another way for any length of time. I worked in London and Germany before returning to Norfolk to marry and had my two sons. Norfolk is beautiful but not conducive to being a more mature single female. I work for a charity by going into a school and helping those children who find reading difficult. I love crafts, music, theatre, watching films, playing cards especially canasta and bridge, pub quizzes, board games, socialising and meeting new people. I was a school secretary until I retired, after which I ran my own business taking in up to seven dogs at a time for owners who went away. To fill my time since my marriage ended I have tried short mat bowls, pilates, shuffleboard, archery, gliding and flying a plane which I loved! I am soon to try golf as well. I adore travelling, although nowadays I am unable to take too much sun. I love New York, South Africa and cruising to any destination, plus would love to visit Japan.
