What a minefield it is being single in 2019 on this human equivalent of an Argos catalogue!
How and where to begin..
I'm warm, kind, compassionate, easy to talk to, happy, generous, gentle, perhaps a bit self-depreciating but apparently funny with it;
A contemporary English Rose - Great company when you get to know me (I'm told!). Nicely flawed as we all are.
I'd be described by friends as artistic, empathetic, supportive, resourceful, loyal, passionate and appreciate the humour in everyday life - the love and laughter.
Being a creative, I love the theatre, ballet, exhibitions, historical houses and gardens, film, bric-a-brac, flower markets and second hand shops, browsing gorgeous 'stuff' I have no room or need for and music of all kinds - from Opera to Glamping at an indie festival (in a 5 star Yurt please - No ghastly tents)
I also love good food and a glass of wine!
I swim, do pilates, ballet and yoga several times a week.
I'd love to travel more but I quite like my creature comforts.
If you can lovingly get rid of spiders - A bonus!
I love pottering about at home, spending time with friends, meeting interesting people, being in gorgeous places and walking my dogs - A poodle cross and a teddy bear of a Maltese (and they will sleep on beds and sofas however discreetly but rest assured they don't have their own wardrobe).
Going for pub lunches with Sunday papers, the cinema, an exhibition, a lecture on world politics, a book launch, a play, a picnic, a night at the opera, a moonlit walk along the Thames or simply watching the sun go down on a remote beach..And if I'm not doing the above you're most likely to find me immersed in a book or researching something or someone...
It'd be so perfect to have someone to have and to hold and share some of life's wonderfulness with and to be, and to have, an unshakable rock of a lover and friend, when things aren't quite so wonderful...

A fabulous man who just loves me the way I am. That goes both ways, of course! I could probably simply leave it at that....
A gorgeous guy whos' personality, humour, vulneribilities, likes and dislikes compliment mine and we just bring out the best in each other.
It's all about chemistry and shared values, so I'll know when I meet and get to know you.
I've also realised since this virtual journey began, I'm voice activated...A voice can make or break it for me. I'm sure its the same for us all but who knew?!
I love good manners, loyalty, respectfulness and laughter - a generosity of spirit in all its different forms. A wonderful man who can be the bestest friend, lover, life partner, and is emotionally mature and emotionally available - Giving (and forgiving!) in love as well as good at receiving it. Optimistic, empathetic, positive..and, well.. just kind, kind, kind...
A man who is really happy within himself and comfortable to tread the footpaths in all walks of life. Basically, a great all-rounder (who loves dogs/animals/children...and, of course, ultimately, me!

You will love getting to know Sophie, she is full of fun, enjoyment and surprises. She is absolutely gorgeous, beautiful and glamorous and totally happy in a pair of jeans walking her dog or being cosy on the sofa with a book. Her acting thrusts her into the spot light where she is amazing and lights up the stage, I've seen her in many plays, however, in 'real' life she is down to earth, self deprecating, dreamy and romantic with a huge sense of humour. Sophs is well educated, she knows stuff, brilliant for a good discussion about sensible things or funny, silly things, an optimist and very patient. Her cooking is top notch, you won't go hungry, she's a fabulous cook. I've known Sophs since we were teenagers, we have shared many an amazing party, danced into the night, laughed into the morning and chatted over a glass of wine intently for hours. I see her as often as we can, she came to stay last summer and we had a lovely night wandering around a Christmas market in December, wonderfully easy to be with and always a new project up her sleeve. She is a wonderful friend and someone you would really love to know. So, if you're fun, caring, spontaneous and creative, do let her know about you....

I have known Sophie for a long time, I think we were 11 when we first met. I consider and value Soph as a great friend, very thoughtful, loyal, clever and amusing. Soph is a creative soul with an active interest in the arts, theatre and film. Articulate, educated and bright, she is also... an amazing cook! As a friend we have gossiped and laughed over the years and I hope will do so for many years to come! This summer, on the way to a mutual friends wedding she recounted a story that made me laugh so much I can't help but smile about it now. Soph has a great sense of humour! Beautiful, stylish, kind, intelligent, caring and great fun... I will be beyond happy to hear that Soph has met her match!
