I am tall with an athletic build; an outgoing, sociable guy with an active lifestyle, good sense of humour and optimistic outlook.
I have my own house, car, teeth, 36ft sailing yacht and hair and a good circle of friends, the only thing missing is someone to share it with.
I enjoy travelling and undertaking physical challenges and this has helped me to stay in good shape - I celebrated my 50th with a trek to Everest Base Camp and returned to Nepal for my 60th;
I have cycled all over the UK and done a lot of cycling in Europe and Ireland. I started training for triathlons in 2013 and have completed 2 iron distance events and qualified to represent Great Britain in my age group at three European Championship events.
I'm not a football fan and generally prefer participation in sports to watching them. I like comedy, good drama series - Homeland, Occupied, The Bridge on television and enjoy regular cinema visits, especially for a good action film.
When driving, I prefer Radio 3 and 4 to 1 or 2, the last time I was in a nightclub they were playing 45's from a thing called the 'hit-parade'.
My first career was as a professional chef which was a career that led me to living in Bermuda briefly, whilst I haven't cooked professionally for many years (moved into IT - yawn but financially rewarding) I still enjoy the opportunity to show off in the kitchen by hosting dinner parties.
I have been amicably divorced for over 15 years and have two children a 25 year old daughter and 23 year old son, she lives with her partner and their three children locally, he's in Texas USA.
