About him
Having now retired from a full on high level career and having reached a point where my children have reached self sufficient positions in life I would like to move on to meet someone with whom I can get to know and enjoy life!
I like good wine and food... eating out and cooking for friends at home.

Oscar Wilde, I think, said golf was a good walk ruined but I do enjoy the game (although I'm no contender for the British Open )
I like to travel particularly to Italy but just enjoy new places and experiences. I love Rome and Venice in particular and have visited many times. Recently visited Rome again; Stayed at the hotel Eden as usual . Fantastic views from there over the eternal city.
I like arty things but am not artistic myself!
I am a member or the Royal Academy and the Tate. Its nice to visit an exhibition and have a nice lunch afterwards!
I like to keep healthy but I am not a fitness fanatic.
I feel a lot younger than my years indicate . Something my friends agree with. But they probably would wouldn't they.
I am someone who has had a career in both the private and public sectors and hold the virtues of honesty and reliability in the highest regard.
I find it very hard to try to sum myself up but without knowing who I am speaking to its a bit difficult as I am sure you have found. I find it very difficult to say what I am like without feeling pretentious!

I am looking ultimately for someone who could be a partner.
I believe it is important to be honest and open. Saying what you think is important.
All a bit serious ,I know, but I do have a keen sense of humour (which may not have emerged from all of the above) and I do think a good sense of fun is important to any relationship!
Its very difficult to describe an ideal match and I think it can only emerge after meeting because the permutations and combinations are infinite!
