About him
Calm with a sharp sense of humour, an optimist, loving travel, whether it's watching a glorious sunset on the coast of Scotland, marvelling at the contrast that is Vegas and Yosemite or driving down to Paris for the weekend.
So, having now seen a few other profiles after joining recently, I see that a short paragraph (above) is probably not enough. I thought I'd done well finding more than one photo (including one sitting in my first set of wheels, being distracted by the offer of an apple).
I like to keep busy, have been blessed with good health, love travel and enjoy cooking as much as dining out. Coming from a musical family, I considered going professional. Discussing this with the uni careers adviser, he pointed out that my hobby would have to get serious to make a living. I decided that enjoying it rather than having to do it meant I should remain a keen amateur. Having no vacancies for my other choice of career (astronaut), I was advised to become an accountant. I subsequently stumbled into a tech company, an industry I still enjoy. With the advent of trendy tech and online businesses, I decided that I needed to adapt to the new ways. So I've grown a beard and bought another hoody.
Having heard the ads on Classic FM, here I am. Depending on mood, the radio is also variously tuned to Kiss, Radio 4 and our local station, largely because they play a lot of 80s stuff. The rest of my time is taken up having fun with my daughter and son, walking, cycling, playing and watching sport, seeing friends and family, discovering that I'm quite good at growing orange trees and peppers, writing, watching films, cooking and looking forward to long and short breaks. I love the outdoors, birdsong at this time of year and taking time to enjoy some wonderful places on our doorstep or at the end of a longer journey.
