Adventurous and free spirited, I'm happy outdoors in any weather, often with my working cocker spaniel beside me .. whether exploring new landscapes or appreciating the beauties close to home.
I love that feeling at the end of an active day, flopping down to relax with good food and wine - not the world's best cook but I love eating ;) Reading is a treat and also a priority. Some of my other favourite things: weekend chocolate in bed with my morning pot of tea, old buildings, music to chill to, music that makes me dance around the kitchen, heirlooms with a story to tell, my garden ..
In recent years my travels have included Costa Rica, the Sahara and Omani deserts and the mountains of South Island, New Zealand. I've enjoyed volunteering during events abroad, sometimes in a medical capacity. I speak French and regularly stay in the French alps.
I'm down to earth and fun loving, but also have a soft and romantic side which appreciates sensitivity and emotional honesty.
