About him
My friends like my company and find me funny and interesting. I served 28 years in the Royal Air Force, initially joining as a pilot officer in 1979 and leaving the RAF as a wing commander in 2007. I lived in a number of countries including Cyprus, Germany, the USA, Canada and the Falkland Islands. I love to travel and have been fortunate to have visited many counties around the world but I still have a lot of places to visit and would love to find someone to join the experience.
I have 2 grown up daughters (26 and 30) both live and work in London. I live in a lovely Cotswold town near Cheltenham with my dog Boo, a 9 year old Cavalier King Charles. I recently returned from Mallorca, where I was working in a marina in Port Adriano. When I'm not working (currently I'm looking for another job), I do some charity work for Help the Heroes and CLIC Sargent organising golf tournaments. I still play sports and have represented the RAF at both golf and rugby. I have completed 2 London Marathons; 2001 and 2007, both for charities. I enjoy walking, playing tennis (and a number of other racket sports), watching sporting events, particularly rugby internationals and horse racing.
I love to socialise with family and friends and don't mind doing the cooking (it's a long story but I trained as a hotel manager for 3 years before joining the RAF) but it would be nice to have some company in the kitchen. I enjoy going to the theatre (musicals are my favourite), the cinema and eating out.
Finally, my family and friends think that I'm an extremely loyal, trustworthy, honest and reliable individual, with a great sense of fun and adventure. I am a romantic at heart and believe in 2 things; love at first sight and for every pot there's a lid!

My ideal match is someone that appreciates what I have to offer them as a friend, companion and possibly more. She will have some of the same interests as me, she will be funny and good company. Hopefully she will like my family and friends and what we do for entertainment and socialising. She will definitely like to travel but at the same time enjoy weekends and days away in this country. I really believe that my potential partner will just enjoy being with me, whatever we are doing.
