About her
Being pretty easy going I get on with most people, I am down to earth, honest and believe in a 'doasyouwouldbedoneby' attitude. I try to make a difference, love life and believe life is for living.
I love learning, having interesting conversations, exploring new places, as well as sitting by the beach and listening to the sea. Until recently due to work and family, there hasn't been much time for sports, however my bucket lists include learning to sail (sea legs allowing) getting back into a kayak, horse riding and travelling to all the places I am yet to explore.
Having grown up surrounded with musicians I enjoy music of all genres and appreciate the hard work that goes with talent. Theatre, films and reading are also on my favourites list. Following the crowd has never been my thing and I like doing things that are different and surprising people, but I'm no adrenaline junkie!
My sense of humour is slightly off the wall but this comes from working closely with the emergency services for many years and has got me into hot water on more than one occasion!
Both my children have grown up and are living independent lives, so my life is largely mine with any spare time being spent outside as much as possible, ideally surrounded by nature.
I am the least photogenic person I know....hence the lack of photos but I am hoping to rectify this soon!
Many of my friends are life long, with the nucleus of them being as close as family. So when I asked them to describe me they were very honest!
The abridged version is that apparently I am funny, honest, reliable, good company and mad!
However, from my perspective it takes one to know one!
I'm a romantic at heart and would love to find someone special but if I can find someone to share a good conversation, relax by the fire and have an adventure with, that would be a start....for now!

I am happy on my own but it would be even better to have someone special . Someone to share a walk in the wind and rain and cozy up with after by the fire just chilling and chatting.
I value honesty, kindness and integrity and find it very attractive when a man isn't afraid of having fun, crying at a movie or enjoying a good laugh.
A good friend of mine once said of his wife " we laughed as we went to bed and we laughed as we woke up" and they were married for 65 yerars, what a lovely relationship, I like that idea!
