About him
My wife died seven years ago. We had a wonderful marriage and truly "lived" each other and it's still very difficult to think of anyone else in a physically intimate way. I already have a wonderful companion. Although we find each other physically attractive, it's developed into a purely platonic relationship but we share a lot of interests (except sport). Most importantly our politics are almost identical being well left of centre - anything substantially different from this would be a deal breaker. So really what I am looking for on this site isn't an exclusive companion but someone who I have a lot in common with and can occasionally meet for a meal, a drink or a trip to the theatre.
I am warm with a good, occasionally eccentric, sense of humour, a reasonable general knowledge and interests including sport, classical music and poetry. I am tolerant of almost everything - except intolerance and anything which creates pain and anguish to other living creatures.To relax I sing, play chess, play table tennis, and love eating out. I am generally optimistic and believe in taking life as it comes, the rough with the smooth, the ups with the downs and other such cliches. I have had a novel published and self-published two other books, one a kind of autobiography and the other a booklet of poems written after my wife died.

A woman who shares many of my interests, particularly in the field of music. and perhaps pf sport. She should be slim with a nice figure, attractive face, and good sense of humour. Smoking would definitely be a no-no, as would being a Brexiteer or politics that were too right wing. Also I would find any tolerance of or participation in blood sports impossible to countenance.
