My friends find me generally optimistic,cheerful, thoughtful and energetic with a good sense of humour. I love the outdoors particularly the coast and swim in the sea as often as possible. I enjoy enormously singing with a big choral society with a classical repertoire. Since I retired I have travelled extensively and am always planning my next trip. I enjoy learning about new places and cultures and I have a strong European identity having been involved in twinning for 35 years. I have always loved France and all things French and have spent a lot of time there. I read for pleasure, play table tennis for fun, do Pilates and am part of a small book club. Gardening gives me pleasure but it's all guesswork! I enjoy going to the theatre and the cinema. I am a great dog lover but most of all I love the company of other people and regularly meet friends for lunch or coffee. I am not unhappy with my own company and I am not needy .
