About him
I am a gentleman in his late 60's looking to find someone with whom to share the twilight years. Not necessarily in each others pockets but as good friends, buddies, people who tell each other whats going on in their lives, who share days out and even share hobbies. I guess it's someone who I can call and ask "Fancy a cuppa? See you in 5? (Or 10, or 15 !!)
I live in my little two up two down with just the dog for company. The twice or 3 times daily two mile walks help keep me fit.
Love aircraft and steam locomotives. I skipper wide beam boats on the Kennet and Avon canal so disadvantaged and old pharts like me get a day out on the water. I read and always have a book on the go. Love going to antique sales and can usually come home with something good.
I fish but usually only during good weather and love the countryside. I'm into what makes things work so the Discovery channels on the box are high on my viewing list. I used to play darts - badly - but still enjoyed the game.
Dislikes??? People who put "I'll fill this in later" in their profile boxes. Don't be lazy - get off yer duffs and fill the boxes in. Folks who can't upload a photograph and get it the right way up and lastly, if I send a message to you an acknowledgement would be wonderful. Even if it's "Thanks but no thanks" that's fine rather than just being darned rude and ignoring me. Oh, and if your photos show, one after the other, you with a wine glass in your hand please don't insult my intelligence and tell me you only drink socially !!! And - - - (nearly finished !!) why the heck mark me down as a "want to meet" and then stop me from contacting you by setting daft limits as to who can contact you ??? Is it me or is there a flaw in your thinking on that one ??? OK. That's all my grumps out of the way !!
Not a great lover of garlic which is a bit of a bummer as virtually everything has the darn stuff in it !!
