In His Own Words

About him

I've recently finished refurbishing my new flat so I have plenty of time to enjoy my new surroundings, preferably with a new 'friend'. Maybe catch up on some foreign travel? I used to have a holiday home in Florida, but who would go to the USA now ....?

I have a GSOH. I'm generous and considerate and v loyal. I read 'The Guardian' daily (yes, I'm a non-sandal wearing Guardianista!) and occasionally finish the cryptic crossword.
I listen to Classic FM throughout the day - my builders loved it!
I like symphonies and concertos (or is that concerti?); not too keen on opera but I will make an exception for Renee Fleming (and she was so good on Sesame Street, too).I still have my pop recordings from the 60s and 70s though!
I prefer the cinema to the theatre, especially film noir (Build My Gallows High, The Big Sleep, etc); and don't forget Scandi noir on BBC4. Bring back Saga Noren & the Bridge .....
I'm a member of the Tate but not too knowledgeable about art in general; what do you expect from a scientist?
I have a long standing interest in many sports, but only as a spectator now.
These days I am interested in (among other things) astronomy and astrobiology, though I think its rubbish to want to colonise another planet, Stephen Hawking! Discus ... and goodbye Cassini .... hello gravity waves and LIGO ......

About his ideal match

I do a lot of daily walking: to the paper shop, to the coffee shop, to the supermarket, to the train station .... You get the picture? I would love to find someone to go on the "London Walks" programme from time to time or even around my local parks (we have two).; or on a country walk of your choosing .....

An interest in foreign travel would be appreciated.S America anyone?

If this sounds interesting, lets meet up for coffee.
