About him
I regard myself as being a very interesting and versatile person. Since my retirement from teaching, I decided to continue to educate myself so I have read a lot of philosophy and compiled some memoir writings; also I go to the gym weekly, visit pubs, restaurants and theatre. I enjoy the magnificence of Sinatra, Shakespeare, and many composers such as Debussy and Delius. My sense of humour is of the Merseyside kind so I tend to smile a lot. Indeed, I admit to being romantic in its wider sense.

I am hoping to meet an attractive, interesting lady, who enjoys intelligent conversation over a glass of wine: I am also a good listener. I love to visit old villages in the UK---- with the right partner I would be prepared to travel beyond the confines of the UK .There is no set picture in my mind of my ideal woman: honesty and kindness are basic. My recent readings suggests that the actual bonding of two people cannot be adequately described in words: it has a private power of its own!
