About him
They say ‘age is just a number’ and its my ambition to prove it. Having walked throughout Europe, some 2,500 miles in the past 10 years so I am in for the 'wear out' rather than the 'rust out' approach to life. I suspect that there was a typo on my birth certificate.
Being also a frustrated artist I try and think and work 'out of the box' before I end up in one. The Eco-house I built was extremely creative - (a box - very much out of the box), my media days also, my approach to cooking, especially bread baking and my pencil drawing have all kept me at the cutting edge of creativity - I hope. I am also a passionate gardener and created one from a field when I built my own home some years back.
I built my own eco-friendly house and ran my own marketing consultancy working with eco groups and charities on marketing & fundraising initiatives. My background is in the media.
Lived in the Cotswolds for many years but now in delightful Dorset, closer to the ocean and ferry ports to France. I spend much of my time now helping friends with a restoration, enjoying the marché nocturnes, food, wine and the weather! Recent visit June 2024.
Early education was 'normal' but I did manage a Diploma in Theology from Oxford University in recent years. Don’t watch TV apart from the news
Pencil drawing, innovative architecture, energy saving, gardening and cooking are my other main interests. I am passionate about bread baking which has now expanded to pastry creations, especially hand raised meat pies. All cooking from scratch, no TV dinners.
Volunteer ‘sowing & reaping’ in the greenhouse at my local Friary
Volunteering for NHS on Covid and flu clinics and this looks likely to continue.
