About him
Obviously being on this site I love music. Mainly classical, but I get inspired by rock, blues, and folk, as well as some jazz. I play the piano including classic pieces, but also extemporise.
When I am free I have a need to be outdoors and go from walking, and running and cycling to climbing and mountaineering. So I am quite passionate about the mountains and love to try to capture them in photography. So I have a need to do exercise, otherwise I am likely to be more pent up.
I tend to be more interested in the arts than television, and will happily go to London or Sheffield for the night to see a play, or visit an exhibition.
I have been going to the Proms in summer in the last 2-3 years and get quite a kick out of the whole experience, even having fun in travelling there and back.
I have a generally academic background and get engrossed in such things quite readily.
I used to ride a motorbike, but since having an accident(not on the bike) which damaged my neck to some degree, I cannot turn my head to the right as quickly as I would like if riding the bike, so I have stopped that, out of safety concerns.
Otherwise I like to hear debate about current affairs and broader subjects.
I like a variety of foods and tend to experiment in my own cooking at times. Otherwise I will eat a number of different styles of food.
(I find that the questions categorise us all too much, and there are areas where I could fit into several categories. So for instance in politics, I'm all for environmental and green issues, but the Green party is not for me. I am keen on equality and on everyone being able to access the NHS, and of young people who work hard being able to go to university regardless of background, so I have socialistic ideas. Yet I believe that we should have good laws for encouraging business{after all I am self-employed}, so I may be more right-wing in that respect.
Consequently I have not answered some questions as I don't want to give the wrong impression.)

I would love to find an eclectic intelligent attractive woman who plays a musical instrument well, and who is of an academic background(to some extent) with an interest in the arts. Along with all of that (which is a bit of a long shot) it would be great to find that you are a climber and landscape photographer!!
Failing that, you will allow the freedom to go and do the mountaineering/climbing both in this country and abroad. In amongst that, is the possibility that you would start to have an introduction to that world.
So I'm looking for the unlikely or the impossible,but aren't we all?
What won't interest me at all, is someone who is a smoker, or someone who only wants to sit and watch the television.
I need to meet someone who is passionate about their own interest in cooking or dance or whatever.
I have a variety of types of humour, and it would be good to have you respond in turn with something whacky and different.
I seem to have been brought up with the idea of romance being a weakness, but I think that I am probably a romantic, who finds it hard to admit, and need a romantic partner to turn to.
