About him
Having been out of a previous long term relationship for quite a while, I now feel like the time is right for me to seek a like minded person to experience the delights of life, maybe a companion at first, but perhaps more if it goes well, for a new chapter to enjoy.
I would describe myself as a creature of habit, a loving, caring person, loyal to those that matter, honest and reliable. I'd say I'm a quiet person, I like to get to know people first but I'm not shy at striking up conversation and will be assertive when the need arises. I generally prefer the simple pleasures in life but I do have a sense of fun and people say I have a wicked sense of humour.
I am a creative person, love anything to do with art, design and interiors. I enjoy listening to music, be it mainstream or classical, and quite often go to concerts to see my favourite singers. I find gardening very therapeutic and spend time pottering when the weather allows. I absolutely love animals and enjoy being around them, perhaps sharing nice woodland walks would be great to share again? My family are also very important to me and I like to spend time with them when time allows. I'm generally a happy person, with a positive outlook, but I know that something is dinting that outlook recently and I think it's not having that special someone to share it with, someone to bring back a wider sense of purpose.

I am looking for someone willing to take things slow, I am cautious by nature and want someone who can gently evolve into what could hopefully be a special, caring relationship. For that relationship to work, I would need trust, honesty and reliability. Kindness and consideration are also high on the list and definitely someone with a good sense of humour, someone who appreciates the small things in life, loves animals is a must and can have a decent conversation. My clubbing days are definitely behind me so I'm not looking for someone who wants to go out drinking and socialising but someone who likes trying new places to eat, or enjoying a nice wine watching a great film. Sport holds no interest for me at all, although I wouldn't consider that to be a deal breaker as I think it is important for people to have their own interests when in a relationship. Rudeness and aggression are instant turn-offs and people who live their life on Social media are not for me. Kate Bush once sang "every old sock meets an old shoe", perhaps the time is now?
