I love walking along the seashore and seeking out treasures on the sands. My camera takes me exploring, both at home and abroad, though not mountains as you have to come down when you get up! Roaming cities to find hidden nooks and crannies, visiting museums and galleries all appeal - with my camera, of course! Wildlife photography is a special interest, be it wild birds or animals in captivity. Friends call me the Tracy Emin of the photography world as I like expanding the boundaries of photography and Gillygems has a Pro Flickr account! The end result is not what the camera saw! I enjoy classical music and seeing musicals either live or at the cinema. I support my son with the bowling game of boccia at a high level.

I’ve recently regained my zest for life after a severe fracture and I’d love a hand to steady me instead of my crutch, though they are decorated with butterflies! I have a wicked sense of humour and a younger than my age outlook on life. By now, I should surely be wearing twin sets and pearls but I prefer bright leggings and streaky hair! I like to think of myself as a bit arty-farty, quirky, open minded and tolerant always looking round the next corner than back in anger! And my crutch doesn’t stop me dancing!
