I am an optimistic, glass half full type of person, but will still appreciate and lament the glass half empty. I am adventurous and unconventional but also practical and uncomplicated. I like to have conversations about all sorts of things, I am a mine of useless information and have been told I come across as a know it all by friends who don't get me, but really I am after learning something new. I do not get information from reading books about what the writer thinks or knows, I would rather learn from what other people think or their experiences of their life... much more real. I love to laugh and have a dry sense of humour, wit gets me through most things.
I like all the usual things that people put in their profiles, film and music from a wide spectrum, good food and wines, family time, fun with friends and time to myself... but not too much!
I am looking for someone who could become a real partner for life, someone to reach that comfort zone with. I'm not looking for "fun" but I am looking for someone to share fun times with.
I'm a Londoner living temporarily in East Yorkshire. I will be coming home at some stage in the not too distant future, I'm caring for my elderly mum to keep her in her home, as I did for my dad.
